Snoring is defined as a noisy form of breathing that is done through the nose or mouth and takes place during sleep. Snoring can happen at any stage of the sleep cycle and can be extremely noisy and irritating for those around you.
Snoring only becomes a problem if breathing ceases during sleep and
you find yourself having to wake up to catch your breath. In cases like this you should always seek a medical opinion. As I've said in earlier posts it's rarely something to worry about medically but it's best to check it out. The medical practitioner can also talk to you about was of relieiving the problem and how to prevent snoring.
If you are disrupting your spouse's sleep and if you yourself are losing sleep because of your own consistent snoring this is likely to cause further difficulties. You and your partner might be tired at work. I know that when my wife wakes me up a few times a night to stop my snoring it makes me tired all day. If your job is stressful, as mine is, this can make it hard to work properly and give it your all. That was one of the main reasons that I started my research into how to prevent snoring.
It can place a strain on relationships. The person you share a bed with can often feel that it is unfair that you are constantly waking them up and making them tired the next day. They are usually as keep as you are to learn about how to prevent snoring.
